Sam Ellis

Sam Ellis is a Canadian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who, like many before him, honed his musical skills and instincts at his local church, rotating through various instruments as required. As a songwriter, Sam secured his first television placement on YTV’s “Surf Shack” when he was just 10 years old.

A decade later, Sam set off for Nashville and spent the first 4 years in his new home as a touring side musician for country artist, Hunter Hayes performing on some of the world’s most recognized stages. During that time, he continued to deepen co-writing relationships with both Hayes and the wider Nashville writing community.

Since coming off the road, Sam has established himself as a much-sought-after producer/songwriter in town. His tireless work ethic, drive and enthusiasm have rewarded Sam with a wide range of cuts by artists including Thomas Rhett, Kane Brown, Hunter Hayes, Jordan Smith & Jacob Sartorius.  His production credits include Hunter Hayes, Ingrid Andress, Danielle Bradbery, Rachel Wammack, Josie Dunne, Jacob Sartorius and Kira Isabella.  He has also lent his production and writing skills to numerous film and television projects, including the most recent “Farmer In All Of Us” anthem co-written and produced for the 2018 Ram Trucks ad campaign.

Sam’s recent success includes the Lady Antebellum hit, “What If I Never Get Over You”.  He is also a co-writer/producer on the popular debut single from Warner Nashville/Atlantic’s Ingrid Andress titled “More Hearts Than Mine”.
