Best known for producing and writing the genre bending double platinum Alt hit "RIVER", IAN SCOTT & MARK JACKSON have been redefining ‘what Alternative and Rock is’ to a new generation of listeners long before it was on trend to do so. In early 2014, feeling disillusioned by the monotonous loop of unsuccessfully pitching pop records, the duo decided to take matters into their own hands. Drawing from their collective musical roots (Blues/Rock/Alt), and as if by fate, Mark and Ian linked up with Dorothy to produce her 'Menacing and electric..' (Rolling Stone) self titled EP. The EP itself not only garnered critical acclaim and fanfare but also secured hundreds of major and meaningful syncs bringing Mark and Ian’s name to the forefront of industry insiders. Mentored and personally A&R’d by Roc Nation's Jay Brown, Mark and Ian were tapped to produce Dorothy's freshman full length "Rock Is Dead" which was released in early 2016. Although Ian & Mark were beyond elated with the success of Dorothy and her music, the two felt as if artistically, they could push further into the new post genre landscape.

The guys had always dreamed of creating music that not only pulled from their folk, rock and Alt roots but also infused trap, hip hop and electronic energy that they and the world had come to love over the years. That dream later culminated in the Bishop Briggs project, in particular the song "Wild Horses" , which truly set the stage for all the success to come. In 2016 the song was selected for an Acura commercial and within hours of airing, it had already become a viral sensation and would later become a top 20 alternative Hit ; scoring the guys and their team a JV deal with Island records. Mark and Ian went on to write and produce Bishop's 2017 self titled EP as well as her freshman 2018 full length "Church of Scars" including various unrelated singles.

At the moment Mark and Ian are in the studio diligently working on bringing new talent to the forefront of a post genre universe. However, artist development is only one facet of this talented duo.
