Karen Poole

One of the UK's most successful and prolific songwriters, Karen Poole has had consistent success as an artist and writer for over 20 years, establishing long term creative relationships with numerous artists from Kylie Minogue to Becky Hill. Her depth of experience has given her the pedigree to sit on the Ivor Novello Awards committee, chair the judging panel for various individual Ivor Novello awards, and work with music institutions such as BIMM.

Ivor Novello and Brit Award nominated, she has accumulated over 30 top 20 UK hits and over a billion streams worldwide. She started her musical journey with her sister as part of pop duo Alisha’s Attic. The band recorded 3 albums for Mercury Records, including platinum selling album 'Alisha Rules the World' which was produced by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics.

Over Karen’s long career she has enjoyed global success - from the iconic 'Lola’s Theme' by Shapeshifters, to singles with Kylie Minogue, Sugababes, David Guetta, Galantis, Lily Allen, Will Young, Becky Hill, Giorgio Moroder, Groove Armada and Janet Jackson among many others. In Asia, Karen has had hit singles with K-Pop superstars and multiple platinum selling artists such as NCT, WAYV, EXO, Twice, Girls Generation, Boa, FX, Taeyeon and J-pop superstar Namie Amuro among others. She is still achieving huge success in this field, last year writing the lead single 'Make A Wish (Birthday Song)’ from the no.1 album with NCT U, 'NCT 2020 Renaissance pt 1'- the fastest selling album of all time in South Korea & a no.1 US independent album.

Recent works include Becky Hill feat. David Guetta 'Remember', NCT 'Make A Wish', Tiesto feat. Becky Hill 'Nothing Really Matters', Galantis 'Rich Boy', Lily Allen 'Sheezus', Netsky 'Who Knows', Shift K3y 'Touch', Don Diablo 'People Say' and Aston Merrygold's Aria platinum-selling 'Get Stupid' which was used for a Samsung Galaxy ad campaign.

Karen has also co-written the hugely anticipated Bridget Jones Diary musical with multiple Grammy winning producer Greg Kurstin and Lily Allen.
