Alejandro Sanz

Alejandro Sanz is one of most famous and influential Latin artists throughout the world. Composer and author of all his songs, he has sold more than 23 million albums. He is the Spanish artist with more Grammy Awards (17 Latin Grammys and 3 American Grammys) and he has released 16 albums, including 9 studio albums, all of them Multi-Platinum in Spain, Latin America and United States.

Since the release of his first album "Viviendo Deprisa" in 1991, Sanz has become one of the Spanish artists who has sold more copies of his albums ever. 

His last studio album, "La Música No Se Toca", debuted number 1 in 18 countries and led off the renowed Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart. It stayed in the Top 10 of the Charts in United States and Puerto Rico for twenty five consecutive weeks after its release. 

Sanz has collaborated with international artists such as Alicia Keys, Shakira, Laura Pausini, The Corrs, Ivete Sangalo, Emelie Sandé or the legendary Tony Bennett, among others. 

Furthermore, he is the Spanish with the largest followings in the social media, with more than 11 million followers in Twitter and more than 5 million in Facebook. 

In 2013 he was given an honorary doctorate from the University of Berklee (Boston, USA), in recognition of his contribution to the music and international culture. 

Among other important awards, he has been given the Spanish Ministry for Culture's Gold Merit Medal for Fine Arts , the White House Visión Award, as well as the ASCAP Award for his great contribution to Latin Music. 

Alejandro Sanz has also been recognised for his involvement with Non-Gubernamental Organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Save The Children or Greenpeace. 

In 2019, the spanish artist released #ELDISCO, a long awaited album with collaborations from Camila Cabello, Nicky Jam, Residente and Judit Neddermann. #ELDISCO quickly entered the charts, becoming number 1 in 12 different countries the same day it was released.
