DJ Khalil

DJ KHALIL's career started as one-half of the acclaimed underground hip hop duo Self Scientific along with rapper Chace Infinite. Khalil caught the ear of mega-producer Dr. Dre early on in his career, and Dre signed him as an in-house Producer to Aftermath Records. Khalil developed his production skills under Dre, landing placements with 50 Cent, G-Unit and Jay-Z, and has gone on to produce for the likes of Kanye West, Drake, Logic, Anderson .Paak, Pink, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and many others.  

 Khalil's first GRAMMY win came on rapper Eminem's 2010 album, Recovery, and he has since been awarded 2 more GRAMMYs out of 13 nominations. Khalil Co-Wrote and ProducedAloe Blacc's Top 5 pop worldwide single "The Man," which sold 4 Million units worldwide, and won a Clio Award for music innovation through its inclusion in the 2013-2014 Beats by Dre campaign. Khalil has gone on to Write and Produce several end titles to major film releases, including "Brick Mansions," "Southpaw," Kevin Hart's "Wedding Ringer" and the Will Smith Netflix movie "Bright."

 In addition, Khalil has Written and Produced music for major video games such as Call of Duty and Tom Clancys "Ghost Recon". Khalil Co-Wrote and Produced multiple songs on Anderson Paak's GRAMMY-nominated album Malibu as well as Co-Wrote and Produced the VMA Award-winning song “Black Spiderman” off Logic's album Everybody. Khalil recently topped the Pop charts with songs on Logics #1 album Bobby Tarantino II (two songs:  ”Iconic” and “Everybody Dies” Nipsey Hussle's Top 5 album Victory Lap four songs:  “Rap N-ghazal”, “Succa Proof”, “Perfect Timing”, “Zero Tolerance”; and Eminem's #1 album Revival.

He wrote and produced the song  “Elevate” which became the end title for Academy Award winning Spider-Man:  Into The Spider-Verse film and is included on the Soundtrack Album with over 1 million units sold.  “Rise” Godfather of Harlem series theme and included on Godfather of Harlem Soundtrack Album.  “How Did You Get Here” from Celine Dion’s new album entitled Courage.  A song on Kanye West new album. “Stuck” co-write with Earthgang/ used on Insecure television series.  “Rap N-ghazal” on Grown-ish television series; “Heart Don’t Stand A Chance ”Co-write with Anderson Pakk TNT pilot Animal Kingdom. 

 In 2022 Khalil won 2 Grammy Awards for his production of Jon Baptiste’s AOTY win with the song “Freedom”, and for Kanye West’s win in the Best Melodic Rap Song category for “Hurricane” ft. Lil Bbay & The Weeknd. 

Recent releases include Benny The Butcher’s “Johnny P’s Caddy” ft. J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar’s “Purple Hearts” among many other upcoming releases.
