Following their hugely successful third album 'Dream Land', Glass Animals are poised to soundtrack late-summer gatherings the world over with new single 'I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)'. It's no accident that this incredibly infectious electro banger, the band's first new song since their 2020 album Dreamland, conveys such a timely and universal sentiment. "There was definitely a point during the pandemic where I was spending so much time on Zoom and felt really wired into the internet," says the band's frontman and songwriter Dave Bayley. "I noticed I was having lots of these really intense conversations with people about where they were in life. And all of a sudden, I just kind of thought: 'What we all actually need to do is let this stuff out.'"

Like so many of us, Bayley was craving the sense of release that only comes when you're out dancing with other people, so he wrote a song about it. "I know it sounds a bit cheesy," he says with a laugh, "but I wanted to go to a club and dance and do all those really stupid things that you do at the weekend. They're things we've all been missing because they ground you and make you feel like a human again."
