Bryan Fryzel p/k/a Frequency is a Los Angeles-based music producer, composer, songwriter, mix engineer and DJ.  During his career, he has worked in multiple genres and has helped several new artists develop their sound.  He is perhaps best known for producing and co-writing the Billboard #1 and Grammy Award winning record “The Monster” for Eminem and Rihanna.  Frequency’s songs have generated over 5 billion worldwide streams, racking up 19x platinum and 5 gold certifications.

Over the last several years, Frequency has steadily pushed the envelope by producing for such artists as Bebe Rexha, Tate McRae, Melanie Martinez, G-Eazy, Blackbear, Machine Gun Kelly, Snoop Dogg, Leah Kate, Kiiara, American Authors, Ashe, Ilovemakonnen, Wonho, Kevin Garrett, Misterwives, Christian Paul and more.  He also has produced music for film and television, notably collaborating with Ron Fair, Jenna Andrews and UPSAHL on the theme song “Glowin Up” performed by Sofia Carson from the film My Little Pony: A New Generation.  While Frequency got his start as a sample-based producer in Hip-Hop, he now predominantly works directly with artists and songwriters of all genres, starting songs from scratch in the studio.  Some notable collaborators include Dua Lipa, Adam Lambert, Hailee Steinfeld, Arizona Zervas, Teddy Swims, Skyler Grey, Gayle, JoJo, Lu Kala, Sabrina Carpenter, Mimi Webb, Nija Charles, Scott Harris, Lowell, Trey Campbell, Emily Warren, Feli Ferraro, Kaydence, Ilsey Juber, Sarah Hudson, Laura Veltz and more.

Frequency first began to gain notoriety in 2006 when he won Scion’s New York leg of the King of the Beats competition.  That same year, he earned his first platinum plaque when he produced the critically-acclaimed record entitled “Think About It” off of Snoop Dogg’s Tha Blue Carpet Treatment LP.

Over the next several years, Frequency produced tracks for Ghostface Killah, Cam’ron, Red Café, Raekwon, Lil’ Mama, Masta Ace, Ras Kass, Joell Ortiz, Uncle Murda and other notable Hip-Hop artists.  He also became a member of the legendary production team The Trackmasters, with whom he produced records for Lil’ Kim, Keyshia Cole, Slim (from 112), Beenie Man, The Game and others.

In 2009, Frequency began working extensively with Hip-Hop supergroup Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce da 5’9”, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I), producing, recording, mixing and serving as the tour DJ for the group and several of its members for a number of years.

In 2011, Frequency helped secure a record deal for iFFY the Bad Man with Universal Republic.  iFFY’s debut single “Do You” peaked at #15 on the Sirius XM Hits 1 weekly countdown. The following year, Frequency landed placements on B.o.B’s Strange Clouds and MGK’s Lace Up.

Other notable career achievements include producing the debut album Our Own House for the Photo Finish/Republic band Misterwives.  The lead single “Reflections” hit #1 on the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artist Chart and was certified Gold.  Frequency also produced the Ja Rule & Ashanti track “Helpless” off of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton Mixtape project, blackbear’s Gold single “90210” featuring G-Eazy, and Tate McRae’s hit “r u ok.”

Frequency has been featured in Vibe, Scratch Magazine, XXL, Pensado’s Place, DJBooth, Music Connection and has spoken at various conferences, including New Music Seminar.
