Danny Lux

DannyLux, the 21-year-old Mexican-American sensation, is among the most prominent emerging artists in the Mexican regional music scene. His musical influences span decades, shaped by the music he heard at home, including bands like The Beatles, Richie Valens, and Pink Floyd with his father, and Mexican regional and Mexican rock music with his mother. At  15 years old, DannyLux began writing his own songs, inspired by artists like Ariel Camacho and others in the *corrido tumbado* movement, such as Eslabón Armado, Junior H, and Porte Diferente. From there, he crafted his unique sound: “Alternativo-Sierreño,” redefining the genre for a new generation.

Even though his career has just started, this singer-songwriter has made a name for himself on the international stage. In 2022, DannyLux earned a Billboard Latin Music Award nomination for his song “Jugaste y Sufrí” with Eslabón Armado, a Premios Juventud nomination in the category "New Generation – Regional Mexican," nominations for Artist of the Year and Best Sierreño Song of the Year at the Radio Awards in Mexico City, and capped off the year with a gold certification for his hit single "Infeliz." In 2023, he debuted at Coachella and received his first Premio Lo Nuestro nomination from Univision for Best New Artist – Regional Mexican. The young star ended the year recording A Colors Show—becoming the first Mexican music artist to do so—and a Tiny Desk performance. He was also included for the second consecutive year in Billboard’s "21 Under 21" list and joined Variety's Young Hollywood Report.

In 2024, DannyLux’s achievements continued to flourish. He participated in the Grammy’s Press Play series and the Mexican music edition of SoundCloud’s docuseries SCENES. Also, the artist was featured in Spotify “La Tierra de Música Mexicana,” campaign and he became the first artist to team up with altruistic, impact-driven creator, Jesús Morales to participate in the creator’s celebrated street vendor buyout campaigns. To top off the year, Danny received a nomination for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album at the Latin Grammy Awards for his album “EVOLUXION”.

Danny started 2025 on a generous note, sharing the stage with Eslabon Armado and Cuco for Viva Music Festival’s “I Heart L.A.” benefit concert. All ticket proceeds went to MusiCares which will aid musicians affected by the fires that devastated Los Angeles this year. In May, DannyLux released his highly anticipated album and short film, LEYENDA, which had now secured him his second consecutive  Latin Grammy® nomination for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album. Spanning across 19 original tracks, this album marks a bold and creative leap for DannyLux, reflecting his growth as a songwriter and musician and landing him at number 6 on  Billboard Latin Best Albums of The Year list and at number 20 on Rolling Stone en Español’s Best Albums of 2025 So Far list. Plus, the short film marked his first foray into acting, further expanding the scope of his artistry. Most recently, Danny made his Paris Fashion Week and runway debut at the highly curated Willy Chavarria show.

At such a young age, DannyLux promises a bright future with his profound and personal artistry, which continues to drive him to greater achievements.
