TIAGO CARVALHO was born in Viseu, Portugal. He moved to Crawley, England at age five, where he grew up and discovered his passion for music. At age twelve, he began making music in his spare time and in music class, starting out by making beats for rappers. Tiago later studied at Hackney’s SAE Institute where he learned his way around a recording studio. He began to build his name in the UK rap scene by engineering for underground rappers while making beats on his own, and working towards taking a trip to the U.S. When finishing up school, he met his UK management team London Boy Entertainment.
In February 2012, Tiago took his first trip to Los Angeles. During this time, he met and connected with music publishers, managers, artists, and A&Rs, forming relationships that led to huge industry attention and interest. A series of label and publishing meetings followed, with Tiago ultimately signing a publishing deal with Liberal Arts.
Now living full time in Los Angeles, Tiago has been working with artists, writers, and other producers, with many promising song placements and collaborations to come. Most recently, Tiago co-wrote/produced James Arthur’s (UK X-Factor winner 2012) single “Recovery.”
