Take A Daytrip

From humble beginnings in the NYU dorms to working alongside some of the biggest stars of the 2000s and today, the producer duo TAKE A DAYTRIP sit at the center of music culture. David Biral and Denzel Baptiste became friends during the first week of freshman year at NYU in 2011, bonding over music and the places where genres meet. They’re musical omnivores who do their best to inhabit the world of the sound they’re working on, from afrobeats or grime, Latin trap or garage.

The infamous “Daytrip took it to ten” tag first gained global notoriety with Sheck Wes’s viral hit “Mo Bamba.” Recently they produced a dancefloor smash on Dua Lipa’s Grammy-nominated sophomore album (“Good in Bed”), an alt-rock anthem with Weezer (“Hero”), a heartfelt country ballad with Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus (“High”) and nearly half of Kid Cudi’s long-awaited album Man on the Moon III: The Chosen. They earned their first No. 1 single on the Hot 100 with the gothic Cudi and Travis Scott collaboration “THE SCOTTS.” They also worked with Colombian artist Feid, who was nominated for a Latin Grammy for his album 19, and international stars like Flohio, Santi, NSG and AJ Tracey. Take A Daytrip is also known for shaping the sound of breakout star Lil Nas X, having produced hits like “Panini,” "Rodeo (feat. Cardi B)," and most recently “HOLIDAY”. They are currently executive producing his upcoming project.
