Brian Kennedy

Producer, Composer, Writer, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist are just a few of the words that describe musical phenomenon Brian Kennedy. With formal piano lessons beginning at the age of six and composing by age eight, Brian spent years establishing the foundation for what would become his dynamic musical career.

Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, Kennedy relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 at 20-years-old, catching his big break in 2006 when he produced and co-wrote “My Love” on Ciara’s platinum sophomore album, The Evolution.  Kennedy’s most renowned song credits followed soon after in 2008, when he produced multi-platinum, chart-topping hit singles “Disturbia” for Rihanna and “Forever” for Chris Brown. Kennedy further solidified his place in the music industry as a top hitmaker with his contributions to Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled debut album as a writer and producer. The effort earned him his first Grammy when it took home honors as Best R&B Album at the 2009 awards ceremony. Hudson’s hit song “If This Isn’t Love” garnered an ASCAP win for Kennedy as well.

Revered as a piano prodigy, Kennedy’s musical genius has afforded him the opportunity to work with several top artists and producers, including David Foster, Polow da Don, Timbaland, Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, Ester Dean, Dallas Davidson, The Underdogs, Brandy, Jamie Foxx, Babyface, Clive Davis, Natasha Bedingfield, and legendary songwriter Diane Warren.

Kennedy continues to pursue his dreams while helping others along the way, with several ventures in the works including a non-profit organization to assist young aspiring musicians in his hometown and beyond.
