Debut track ‘Waiting For Your Love’ immediately earned high praise from Clash Magazine and received airplay from Amazing Radio, BBC London (Robert Elms Session) and RadioX’s ‘Shock Of The New’ feature.
Lawrence Taylor’s second track ‘Bang Bang’ began life as Q Magazine’s Track of the Day, after which it sped into the wider public consciousness in the UK, Europe and North America. The track has clocked over 11M streams on Spotify after finding itself in the New Music Friday playlist in the USA and countless tastemaker playlists such as Alternative RnB. ‘Bang Bang’ delivered success after success including No1’s on the Global and US Spotify Viral Charts as well as his first HypeM No1.
Following the release of ‘Bang Bang’ and prior to the EP release, Lawrence Taylor’s track ‘Chains’ earned him his first BBC Radio 1 spin thanks to Annie Mac. On release of the EP, ‘Robyn’, the final track, was premiered globally by Zane Lowe on Beats1 Radio. A month later Lawrence Taylor had his first interview with Zane. The same track would later on feature as BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Act of the Week in January 2016.
Lawrence Taylor’s debut EP established him with a worldwide fan base and tastemaker support, with 2016 rounding off with tips such as Pandora’s Artist to Watch from 2016. To date the EP’s amassed 13M streams on Spotify, 350K plays on Soundcloud and over 500k on Youtube.
