Several UMP artists and writers have been nominated for a 2013 Ivor Novello award. The internationally respected awards honour excellence in British songwriting and are judged and presented by the writing community.
Both Coldplay and Olly Murs received a nomination for PRS for Most Performed Work - for ‘Paradise’ and ‘Drive With Me Tonight’ respectively, whilst Plan B’s ‘Ill Manors’ was nominated for Best Contemporary Song.
UMP have all three nominations for Best Original Film Score with ‘Anna Karenina’ (Dario Marianelli), ‘Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax’ (John Powell) and ‘Ill Manors’ (Ben Drew). ‘Upstairs Downstairs Series 2’ (Carl Davis) was nominated for Best Television Soundtrack.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 16th May in a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
