Universal Music Publishing Group are delighted to represent Richard Hawley. From his early years with Longpigs and as a touring guitarist with Pulp to his hugely influential solo career - he's one of Britain’s most distinctive and celebrated songwriters.

UMPG are delighted to now represent Richard Hawley's entire back catalogue and future work.

One of Britain’s most distinctive and celebrated songwriters, the Sheffield-born artist, guitarist and producer has built an acclaimed career spanning more than three decades.

From his early years with Longpigs and as a touring guitarist with Pulp to his hugely influential solo career, Hawley has earned two Mercury Prize nominations for Coles Corner and Standing at the Sky’s Edge, alongside BRIT Award nominations and winning the Southbank Award for music. His extensive catalogue includes much-loved records such as Lady’s Bridge, Truelove’s Gutter and In This City They Call You Love.

His songs also provided the music for the double Olivier Award-winning musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge, while his career has seen him collaborate with a unique plethora of artists including Arctic Monkeys, Lisa Marie Presley, Nancy Sinatra, Paul Weller, Elbow, Pulp, Duane Eddy, Texas, Shirley Basssey, Boz Scaggs, Tom Jones and Manic Street Preachers.

Richard is currently working on the soundtrack to British film Eddy Is Box and has previously worked on music for Wes Anderson’s Atomic City, Banksy’s ‘Exit Through The Gift Shop (which lead to him being featured on The Simpsons), This is England, recent Netflix hit Reunion, The Full Monty and rockabilly horror Flick where he played opposite Faye Dunaway.
