Sody

An artist on the rise, Sody, at the mere age of 20 has had tracks featured on Love Island UK & US and already amassed over 150 million worldwide collective streams.

Not shy to admit that she wears her heart on her sleeve, Sody states ‘being honest is my thing’. Her music is a complete reflection of that, where Sody voices her journey in coming of age in songs like ‘Maybe It Was Me,’ ‘Let You Know,’ ‘Whole (demo),’ ‘I Don’t Know You Anymore,’ and ‘The Bully’. Her debut EP ‘I’m Sorry, I’m Not Sorry’ has received over 30 million streams to date.

Raw, authentic and relatable, Sody’s latest EP ‘real growth takes time’, is a true encapsulation of the artist’s personality and song writing style.  It is her candid approach to her writing, and impressive vocal range, that has helped grow her deep relationship with her adoring followers.

“The premise of this EP is about having a heavy heart whether that is to do with heartbreak, mental health,  or just your own personal journey,” she says. “I guess by putting those emotions into these songs, it has enabled me to understand the process of growth and how it really does take time. There are no quick fixes to anything and the struggles I’ve been through have helped shape who I am today in a positive way.” The EP is teased by its uplifting opening track “butterfly”, which follows Sody’s chance encounter with a “little white butterfly” during one of her lockdown walks in 2020.

Sody has also been busy collaborating with fellow artists. In the summer of 2020 she linked up with Cavetown on ‘is your bedroom ceiling bored?’, her anthem for the overthinkers of the world, and in November Sody linked up with Nashville based sad-songs machine, Foster on, 'fools (can’t help falling in love)', the trending love song inspired by the Elvis Presley classic.
