Jessica Mauboy unveils video for 'The Day Before I Met You'

With 14 top 30 ARIA singles and counting, at just 24 Jessica Mauboy continues to forge a special legacy in Australian pop. Already a bonafide star in the studio, on the stage and on screen- Mauboy had today unveiled the beautiful video for her new single 'The Day Before I Met You'.

'The Day Before I Met You' is a deeply personal track that Jessica wrote with Antonio Dixon, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Khristopher Riddick-Tynes and Helen Jane Culver.

The video directed by Nick Watterman, traces Jess' journey back to her hometown Darwin, reconnecting with her family, friends and community and captures the raw simple emotion of what the people and place mean to her.

"This song is about my own journey in life and reflects on my family and loved ones as well as the people, the lifestyle, the spirit & soul of my hometown of Darwin. It is the one place that I can go back to and I feel connected and free and that is so important to me. Ultimately, what shapes us most, is where we have come from and the people that surround us. My upbringing and community keeps me strong, encourages me and reminds me of who I am and to be proud of that." - Jessica Mauboy
