Ben Baptie

Ben Baptie is a London based producer and mix engineer. He started his career in 2010, assisting the Grammy award winning engineer Tom Elmhirst for 4 years in both London and New York.

In 2014, Ben went freelance working on records by Albert Hammond Jr., U2 and Lianne La Havas whilst still residing in New York City.

Ben moved back to the UK in 2015 and is now based out of Strongroom Studios. He has his own production room there and mixes from Studio 1 working on records for artists such as Lady Gaga, The Strokes,  Moses Sumney, Jamie T, London Grammar and Daughter. 

On the production side Ben has frequently collaborated with the artist Rex Orange County, working on his second record  ‘Apricot Princess’, the standalone track ‘New House’ and more recently co-writing, co-producing, mixing and engineering Rex's third album ‘Pony’.  Ben has also produced records alongside Moses Sumney, Tom Odell and Cage The Elephant. 

Ben was nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2020 MPG Awards.
