The Cure have earned their first ever GRAMMY wins – taking home Best Alternative Music Performance (“Alone”) and Best Alternative Music Album (Songs Of A Lost World) at the 2026 awards. 

UMPG songwriters, artists, producers and composers were recognized with multiple GRAMMY wins this year, including the “Big Three” of Album, Song and Record of the Year.

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading global music publisher, and NWS Music Group, a top independent record label & publishing company based in London, today announced the signing of songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Zach Nahome to an exclusive worldwide music publishing agreement.

The MOBO Awards, Europe’s biggest and most influential celebration of Black music and culture, has announced the nominees across 20 categories for its 2026 awards. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the MOBOs, with the event to be held in Manchester on 26th March.

UMPG artist and writer Skye Newman has won BBC Radio 1's Sound Of 2026 award. After a breakout year in 2025, winning the 24th BBC's Sound Of poll sets Skye Newman up for an even bigger year in 2026. Her debut single “Hairdresser” went viral in 2025 and became one of three UK Top 20 singles released during the year.
