Delta 5’s cult 1979 song “Mind Your Own Business” provides an unexpected but brilliantly effective soundtrack to Apple’s new commercial to promote their privacy drive.
In a funny and very clever visualization of how apps track and share our data, the spot shows a man called Felix buying a coffee, only to be followed out to his cab by the barista, who reveals Felix’s name and date of birth to the driver. The baffled Felix then picks up more and more people following him on his journey home - finally making them all disappear by selecting a setting on his iPhone to stop an app tracking his data.
