Adele was the big winner at last night’s BRIT awards, collecting a total of four trophies: British Female Solo Artist, Mastercard British Album of the Year for ‘25’, British Single for ‘Hello’ and Global Success. Her win made her the most successful solo artist in any one year in the history of the awards, and she now has eight BRITS in total.
Alabama Shakes won three Grammy Awards last night at the 58th Grammy’s held at the Staples Centre in in Los Angeles. The band scooped the trophies for Best Alternative Music Album for their second album ‘Sound & Color’, as well as Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’. During the awards ceremony the band took to the stage for a heartfelt and electrifying performance of their Grammy wining single.
Elton John releases his 33rd studio album ‘Wonderful Crazy Night’ today via Virgin EMI Records. The new album continues Elton’s long-time writing partnership with Bernie Taupin and was written and recorded in Los Angeles in just 17 days with core band members convening at the venerable Village studio.
