We are delighted to welcome acclaimed composer, pianist, singer and producer Meredi, who has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Classics & Screen GSA.

Born in Berlin and of German-Armenian heritage, Meredi has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary classical and cinematic music. Her melodic and deeply personal compositions blend classical tradition with song textures, drawing inspiration from her family history, traditional folk song melodies with influences spanning from Bach and Rachmaninov to the Berlin electronic music scene.

Classically trained, Meredi studied composition at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and the Universität der Künste Berlin before specializing in composition for film and media at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Alongside her flourishing artist career, Meredi has composed extensively for film, television, theatre and dance. She signed exclusively with Deutsche Grammophon in 2024 and released her debut, DG EP Flourish.

Meredi says: “I'm so excited to be represented by the stellar Ricordi team at Universal Music Publishing and grateful to be among artists I have long admired. I look forward to composing lots of new music, writing scores, and having the opportunity to send them out into the world”

“Meredi is a truly unique creative voice whose music transcends genre boundaries while remaining deeply personal and emotionally resonant. We are proud to welcome her to Universal Music Publishing Classics & Screen Group.” - Annette Gentz, General Manager, Universal Music Publishing Classics & Screen GSA.

Meredi joins the growing roster of Universal Music Publishing Classics & Screen, which includes iconic catalogs of Ricordi, Durand/Salabert-Eschig, Editio Musica Budapest, and Decca Publishing, featuring composers from Puccini to Poulenc, Julia Wolfe to Kevin Puts, Isobel Waller-Bridge to Jerskin Fendrix and Max Richter to Angélica Negrón.

Meredi’s new single, “White Flowers Take Their Bath,” is released today by Deutsche Grammophon.
