Pete Simmons, Head of A&R, UMPG UK, honoured in Billboard UK's 40 Under 40 List

Pete Simmons, Head of A&R UMPG UK, is featured on the inaugural Billboard UK 40 Under 40 list - shining the spotlight on young executives who are setting the standard for their peers and leading from the front.

His role, he explains, ultimately come down to one thing: being useful. “Whether that’s finding songs, sessions, collaborators or even occasionally restaurants, through providing access, insight and expertise, your value is in how useful you are.”

“I’m really proud of the work the team has done in reinvigorating our writer roster", he continues. "From Zach Nahome, off the back of his work on the Olivia Dean album, to Willow Kayne treading the line between her artist career and starting a new writing lane in the K-Pop space, partnering with Shift K3Y, who has arrived and is delivering cut upon cut."

Honourees will be celebrated at a special event at the Beyond The Music conference and festival in Salford, Greater Manchester on 7 October.
