Bio
Jeremy Monteiro, known as “Singapore’s King of Swing,” is a renowned jazz pianist, composer, and producer. He gained international recognition in 1988 when he became the first Southeast Asian musician to perform on the main stage of the Montreux Jazz Festival.
With a career spanning more than four decades, Monteiro has performed with many world-class artists, including Bobby McFerrin, Michael Brecker, and Charlie Haden. He has released over 40 albums and is the only Southeast Asian jazz musician to have an album released by the legendary Verve Records.
A recipient of Singapore’s highest arts honour, the Cultural Medallion, Monteiro continues to promote jazz in Singapore and around the world.
