Friday’s Grammy nominations announcement saw UMPG writer Robyn nominated in the Best Dance / Electronic Album category, for her ‘Do It Again’ album collaboration with Røyksopp.
Elsewhere Galantis’ song 'Smile' (Kaskade Remix) has been nominated in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category. 'Smile' is written by UMP Scandinavia writers Salem Al Fakir, Linus Eklöw, Christian Karlsson, Vincent Pontare and Carl Löf. UK artists Bastille and Haim were recognised in the Best New Artist category, and Coldplay’s two nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Ghost Stories’ and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ takes them to a massive 30 Grammy nominations to date.
Nominations for Best Dance Recording highlighted Basement Jaxx’s ‘Never Say Never’ and Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ and the Jimmy Napes co-written ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit.
UMP Scandinavia writer Thomas Dybdahl's solo album 'What's Left Is Forever' has been nominated for best engineered album, non-classical.
