SANTA MONICA – February 8, 2018 – UMPG, today announced a global administration deal with legendary songwriter-singer Carly Simon. The agreement covers Simon’s acclaimed catalog, as well all musical compositions controlled by her publishing companies, C’est Music and Quakenbush Music Ltd.

The family of Irving Berlin, in conjunction with his publishers Concord Music (North America) and Universal Music Publishing Group (rest of World), today announced the launch of a new website to honour the seminal musician in celebration of his 130th birthday. Created to pay tribute to Irving Berlin’s life and legendary works, this is the first time a dedicated digital resource has existed online for the man epitomized by Jerome Kern's famous maxim: "Irving Berlin has no place in American music - he is American music."

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), and Disney Music Publishing (DMP), the music publishing arm of The Disney Music Group (DMG), today announced a new agreement that expands the territories in which UMPG will administer DMP’s catalogues to include the United Kingdom, Ireland, continental Europe, as well as Israel and countries in Africa and the Caribbean.  

Dua Lipa (Tap Publishing) lands five nominations for The Brits – a record for a female artist and the most for any artist in 2018. UMPG writers received 23 nominations in total and Steve Mac will pick up The BRIT Award for Best British Producer.

Universal Music Publishing Scandinavia have re-signed the songwriter and producer Simon Strömstedt for an additional term. Simon Strömstedt was initially signed to UMPG in 2013, and have since then had an amazing last couple of years.
