The Abe Olman publisher award, which is named after one of the founders of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, is given out each year to a music publisher “who has had a substantial number of songs that have become world-renowned and has furthered the careers and successes of a great number of songwriters.”

Dubbed Latin Urban’s next leading musical star, Mariah Angeliq – who goes by Mariah – is a 19-year old Miami-born, Puerto Rican-Cuban artist. In less than one year, her songs have surpassed 25 million collective streams and counting. Mariah has more than one million monthly listeners on Spotify, making her the first Latin female newcomer to reach this milestone in 2019. UMPG names Olga Cardona as Vice President, Administration and Marketing, Latin Music

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) announced today that Olga Cardona has been promoted to Vice President, Administration and Marketing, Latin Music. Based in Miami, Cardona will continue reporting to Alexandra Lioutikoff, UMPG President for Latin America and U.S. Latin. A respected industry veteran, Cardona joined UMPG in 2007 through the acquisition of BMG Music Publishing. In her time with the company, she has been responsible for the company’s Latin catalogs, including through both the BMG and Univision Publishing mergers. She has also managed catalogs for top talent including Juan Luis Guerra, Romeo Santos, J Balvin, Jorge Luis Piloto, and Rich Music Ltd, among many others.
