Universal Music Publishing Group announced today that Mexican music phenomenon and two-time Latin GRAMMY® nominee DannyLux has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement.
"For me, music has always been more than a passion; it's my way of living. I'm ready to keep evolving and open this new chapter with all my heart. I'm excited to begin this next phase with the UMPG team and to work alongside Jamie Kinelski and Ana Rosa Santiago. I have a lot of trust in them and in the vision we're building together, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow with their support," expressed the Mexican-American singer-songwriter DannyLux.
At just 21 years old, DannyLux has become one of the most influential emerging artists of the new generation in Mexican music. The Mexican-American singer-songwriter has redefined the sound of the movement with his “Alternativo-Sierreño” style, a fusion inspired by decades of musical references, ranging from The Beatles, Ritchie Valens, and Pink Floyd to Regional Mexican and Mexican Rock.
"DannyLux is a generational talent, and we're excited to champion his music globally," said Ana Rosa Santiago, Senior Vice President, A&R Latin Music for Universal Music Publishing Group.
“DannyLux has built an extraordinary career at a young age, and we’re thrilled to have him join the UMPG family. We’re committed to expanding his music’s reach and supporting his music’s continuous impact,” said Jamie Kinelski, Senior Vice President, A&R for Universal Music Publishing Group.
Despite his young career, DannyLux has already achieved major milestones with international visibility. In 2022, he earned a Billboard Latin Music Award nomination for “Jugaste y Sufrí” with Eslabón Armado, a Premios Juventud nomination, and a gold certification for his hit single “Infeliz.” In 2023, he made his Coachella debut, received his first Premio Lo Nuestro nomination for Regional Mexican Breakthrough Artist, recorded a COLORS performance, becoming the first Mexican Music artist to do so, and also performed a Tiny Desk.
In 2024, he received a Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album for EVOLUXION. In 2025, he earned his second consecutive nomination in the same category for his album LEYENDA, which landed on major mid-year lists, ranking #6 on Billboard Latin’s Best Latin Albums of 2025 and #20 on Rolling Stone en Español’s Best Albums of 2025 list. The album also earned notable recognition on multiple 2025 year-end lists, landing at #27 on Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Latin & Spanish Language Albums and #48 on Rolling Stone en Español’s Top 50 Albums of 2025.
At such a young age, DannyLux has proven his artistic depth and continues to elevate his career. This new partnership with UMPG begins a new chapter for the artist that will further amplify his creative development, international presence, and impact as one of the most important and influential young voices in contemporary Mexican music.
