UMPG artists and songwriters recognised at BMI London Awards

The BMI London Awards were held at The Dorchester in London on 29th September, paying tribute to the British and European songwriters, composers and publishers of the past year’s most-performed songs across US streaming, radio, film and television.

Finn Keane received two accolades for songs he co-wrote on Charli xcx’s sixth album ‘Brat’: ‘360’ and ‘Speed Drive’, whilst Harry Edwards was awarded for co-writing ‘TOPIA TWINS’ by Travis Scott feat Rob49 and 21 Savage. 

In addition, several UMPG artists and writers were honoured with Million-Air Awards – to recognise and celebrate accomplished songwriters whose classic standards have been played millions of times in the US. UMPG recipients were: 

Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) 
The Police - Every Breath You Take (Sting)
Elton John - Rocket Man 
Roxette - It Must Have Been Love (Per Gessle)
Elton John - Candle in the Wind 
Elton John - I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues
