Steve Mac honoured with the PRS Award

Rokstone Music/UMPG songwriter Steve Mac has been honoured with the PRS Citation for Extraordinary Achievement in Music.

“The songs that really have defined a pop generation.”

PRS Chairman Nige Elderton & PRS CEO Andrea Martin presented at a private ceremony in London. Elderton said “This award is to ‘recognise your exceptional contribution to British Music and Culture. You’ve been a member of the PRS since 1996 and throughout the last quarter of a century you’ve been at the top of your song writing and producing game. Hit after hit, collaboration after collaboration you’ve written the songs that really have defined a pop generation. Your music has broken records, launched careers and inspired others to write, create, and to perform”.

Billboard Charts

Alongside his PRS achievement, Steve Mac is currently dominating the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songwriters Chart for the 16th consecutive week. In June, Mac scored the triple on the Dance charts with ‘Happier’ (Bastille) at No.1, ‘Here With Me’ (Chvrches) at No.2 and ‘Call You Mine’ (The Chainsmokers) at No.3, with ‘Happier’ at No.1 for the 56th consecutive week.

Congratulations to Steve on the well-deserved PRS award, and a phenomenal 2019. We’re looking forward to even more chart-dominating hits from Steve in 2020.
