Mike McCormack was honoured with The Sir George Martin Award, while Steve Mac was named Producer of the Year.
The A&R Awards in association with Abbey Road Studios took place in London on 5 November 2019.
UMPG MD Mike McCormack was awarded The Sir George Martin Award – an accolade which recognises “an A&R executive with a track record of fostering meaningful artist and songwriter relationships, who has garnered widespread respect amongst the creative community.”
Rokstone/UMPG songwriter and producer Steve Mac took home Producer of the Year for the second year running. 2019 has seen Mac dominating the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts, and racking up production credits on some of the year’s biggest albums, including Tom Walker’s ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘No.6 Collaborations Project.’
The evening also saw Steve Mac and his manager David Howells presented with the A&R Loyalty Award. Both awards are a fitting ode to their incredible partnership.
A massive congratulations to Mike, Steve and David for their well-deserved wins.
