Little Matador release self-titled debut album

Little Matador release their self-titled debut album today on Fiction Records. Little Matador - Little Matador

The quintet are fronted by Snow Patrol guitarist Nathan Connolly, who explains his drive behind the project: “I wanted to make a record with bite and conviction, swagger and integrity, a fresh, gritty, honest, modern rock album. And 'Little Matador' is that record.”

From the opening stomp of lead single ‘Stitch Yourself Up’ to the defiance of ‘Gimme All You Got’, ‘Little Matador’ is an eclectic and compelling collection - an urgent, impassioned adrenaline ride through rock 'n' roll, dissecting the matters of love, loss, rejection, redemption, death and re-birth in its lyrics.

The Guardian award 4/5 stars, commenting that “Little Matador is the sound of someone throwing off the shackles… [their] dirty, raw, aggressive rock'n'roll, lies somewhere between Queens of the Stone Age and the heavier Arctic Monkeys, with a dash of post-punk tension."
