Delphic release second album 'Collections'

Delphic release their second studio album ‘Collections’ today, the follow up to their critically aclaimed 2010 debut ‘Acolyte’.

Produced by Ben Allen (Bombay Bicycle Club, Animal Collective) and Tim Goldsworthy (Massive Attack, LCD Soundsystem) ‘Collections’ fuses elements of electronica, hip-hop and house against a background of modern day pop – often walking the line between euphoria and melancholy.

The new album marks a shift in musical direction for the band, who embraced the task of making a second album as both a chance to write something completely different, and to take a stand against musical mediocrity: “You can either lie down and accept that and become part of it, or you can write something that’s going to challenge that” explains Rick Boardman.

The first single from the album ‘Baiya’ is also released today.
