Tired Pony release their second album ‘The Ghost of the Mountain’ on through Fiction - the follow up to their critically-acclaimed 2010 debut ‘The Place We Ran From’.

Tired Pony is Gary Lightbody, Peter Buck, Iain Archer, Richard Colburn, Scott McCaughey, Troy Stewart and Garret ‘Jacknife’ Lee. Gary Lightbody originally put the band together with the idea of making an Americana album, but the musical vision expanded much wider than that, with the second album displaying a much broader range of influences – bringing elements of Krautrock and synth-pop into it too.

‘The Ghost of the Mountain’ follows a narrative of two characters dealing with an unforgiveable act that has changed both of their lives. “The record makes you think one thing and feel another” says Lightbody.

The first single from the album ‘All Things at Once’ is also released today.
