It's with sadness that we've watched tributes pour in for Adam 'MCA' Yauch, founding member of the Beastie Boys who passed away on Friday. The accolades from friends, artists and admirers worldwide talk of a wise man, full of humour, integrity and compassion who inspired generations of musicians.

With so many moving articles and tributes being published hourly, perhaps some of the most fitting words come from Adam himself, from his Project Happiness interview last month. "If I feel like I’ve done the best that I can or conducted myself in the most constructive way that I can in a situation, then I feel peace."

And, taken from 'So What'cha Want': "Well I'm as cool as a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce". A touch less poetic, but no less fitting.
