Not content with redefining dance music, The Chemical Brothers recently decided to turn their hand to redefining cinema. Think you’re in for a quiet night out with a family sized bucket of popcorn? Think again...
The film is an exhilarating journey that lands the audience slap bang in the middle of the duo’s concert at The Fuji Rock festival, and was filmed on 20 cameras, some of which were placed right in the heart of the crowd to try and create the most authentic atmosphere possible.
Director Adam Smith said his aim was, “to capture what it is like to experience the show from right in the middle of the crowd as well as showing and combining the visuals featured in the show with the footage we captured on this one night; to see how the music and visuals emotionally affect and connect with the audience.”
Press reaction to the film has been astounding, with The Guardian declaring it, “one of the best films about dance music ever made” and audiences showing their appreciation in the best way possible – by whooping, cheering and dancing in the aisles.
‘Don’t Think’ will be on general release for one night only on Friday 3rd Feb 2012.
