After being named Songwriter of the Year at the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards, Steve Mac caught up with Music Business Worldwide to talk them through his five golden rules of songwriting.  

Following the revelation that for the first time since Music Week's annual co-writing survey was first published in 2016 the number of writers behind the UK’s biggest hits has actually fallen, UMPG MD Mike McCormack spoke to Music Week about the latest in co-writing trends. 

Steve Mac, Little Simz and the Euphoria soundtrack (composed by Labrinth) were among the winners at this year’s Ivor Novello awards. The winners were announced in a virtual ceremony on Matt Wilkinson’s Apple Music show. 

Swedish independent multimedia artist, songwriter, producer and director ionnalee (Jonna Lee of iamamiwhoami) will present her latest live digital installation KONSERT on September 2, 2020, following the cancellation of her headline world tour.

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) today announced that Brandi Carlile, a multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/performer/producer, and Tim and Phil Hanseroth, Grammy Award-winning songwriters/musicians, have been signed to an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement.
