UMPG acquires hit songwriter-producer’s catalogue.

Per Gessle among 18 songwriters who have written more No. 1 hits by themselves than any other songwriters in Billboard Hot 100 History

The Roxette member and songwriter is one of just 18 songwriters who are the sole writers of three or more No.1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.


Billboard's list celebrates songwriters with the most No.1 Hits on the Billboard Hot 100 - written entirely by them. The list dates from the launch of the Hot 100 in August 1958 to this week's Hot 100 (dated October 31st 2020). Per Gessle takes a place on the list as the sole writer on Roxette's 'The Look' (1989)', 'It Must Have Been Love' (1990) and 'Joyride' (1991).
