Nina Chuba is firmly anchored in the German music scene. A quick look at the numbers, the awards, the chart positions is enough. Singles with gold, platinum, triple precious-metal certifications, three-time 1Live Krone winner. Number 1 single, number 1 album, and nine Top 10 singles. The list is impressive. And anyone who watched how her single “Unsicher” became impossible to ignore in 2025 in no time understands exactly what is meant when people say: her fans hang on her every word. And so one success follows the next, at the latest since the musician achieved double platinum in Germany and Switzerland and quadruple platinum in Austria with “Wildberry Lillet” three years ago. Nina Chuba conquers the charts and hearts in a storm.

In her mid-twenties, she sees music as her job - and she takes it very seriously. Driven by diligence and a love of storytelling, she has been supplying her fans seamlessly with many superhits like “Wildberry Lillet” since 2022. Most recently, there were “Fata Morgana” – gold in Germany! – or “Wenn das Liebe ist,” which, like almost all her songs, landed in the Top 3 of the German single charts, as did her debut album “Glas” in 2023 and her EP “Farbenblind” just a year later. Now, this fall, her second studio album “Ich lieb mich, ich lieb mich nicht” (“I love myself, I love myself not”) is being released - a powerful, loud album, one that provokes and signals departure, speed, but above all fun. A lot has happened in recent years - professionally and privately - forcing her to grow up. The speed at which life can change occupied her deeply. This led to lyrics about loss and abandonment, but also ones dedicated to lightness. Not defiance, but rather an appreciation of life. She is becoming increasingly aware that her records are always a reflection of her state of mind and her experiences.

Anyone who has followed the musician since her first German-language release in 2021 (“Neben mir”) knows how diverse her sound is, which always meets her verbal essence. She has risen to become an influential artist who nourishes different generations with her subtle yet effortless lyrics that connect - usually danceable, but always vibey beats. It’s as if she couldn’t possibly disappoint her loyal fans, whose numbers continue to grow each year. And that's despite the fact that she moves in a genre-fluid way between synths and guitars, piano and brass, and much more. They love her for all of it. Because she makes music without ever betraying herself or straying from her own path, treating her path like a big musical playground, free of artificial genre boundaries. From the outset, she vowed to make music liberated forever, doing whatever she feels like. Of course, she had to build this self-confidence, repeatedly freeing herself from her own and others’ expectations. Perhaps today, one could say that this diversity — including the wildness it entails - is also what defines her consistency.

Just like her words - the heart, the depth - which she chooses remarkably precisely in each of her songs. And so she links her fine observations, things she has experienced and been told, with virtuosity in her lyrics, creating dense vignettes whose imagery stands unbroken. Nina Chuba’s lyrics manage each time to see everything — and us. Not to forget her flow, so familiar, holding everything together like glue, a defining element. The rhythm, its shifts, the abundance of words without unnecessarily obscuring or making statements overly sentimental. Sometimes she sings softly in higher ranges, sometimes she screams while singing with passion. She raps, sings, whispers. And so, with fine antennas always driven by curiosity, she penetrates different thematic worlds, twists them, shifts them, tells them anew. She writes, she unleashes, and she performs with incredible energy on the big stages. From club tour to arena tour in only three years - with more than 140k tickets sold in 2025 plus sold-out open airs across Germany.

Perhaps it is Nina Chuba’s gratitude, a certain humility toward what still sometimes overwhelms her, that grants her peace. For years she has followed her integrity, so that despite the sometimes unfathomable success, she does not forget what she set out to do: to bring feelings of all kinds into the world through her music. She processes her own emotions and acts as a voice for others. The fact that music can have an almost therapeutic effect on her, and, alongside being a musical playground, is also a major site of self-reflection, continues to fascinate her even after the intense years of her career.
