For two decades Horacio Palencia has been the most important songwriter in Mexican music. His career is full of hits with Banda MS, La Arrolladora Banda el Limón, and artists of this new generation such as Grupo Frontera, Carin León, and Grupo Firme. He is a versatile songwriter and a complete connoisseur of regional Mexican music. He has been recognized as BMI Songwriter of the Year seven times in a row. Some of his most important hits are: “Ya Supérame,” “A través del vaso,” “Me vas a extrañar” and “Ya te perdí la fe.”
