UMPG has been honored with two Gold JASRAC Awards, recognizing the top royalty-earning works in both the Domestic and International categories. This marks the first time in the 44-year history of the awards that UMPG has achieved the prestigious double Gold.

“Lilac” by Mrs. Green Apple, with music and lyrics by Motoki Ohmori, received the Gold Award for top Domestic Work. The song was played or featured on television broadcast media an incredible 349 out of 365 days.

“Bittersweet Samba,” with words and music by Sol Lake (published by Almo Music Corporation and UMPG), received the Gold Award for top International Work for the second time, having previously won the accolade in 2024.

Presented annually by the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers, the JASRAC Awards recognize the authors, composers and music publishers of works that received the largest royalty distributions in the previous year.
