Universal Music Publishing Group signs Beabadoobee to exclusive global music publishing agreement

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading global music publisher, today announced the signing of songwriter, recording and performing artist Beabadoobee to an exclusive worldwide music publishing agreement.

Since her emergence in 2017, Beabadoobee has become one of the most compelling voices in music, known for blending intimate songwriting with a distinctive edge. Propelled by numerous viral singles, such as “Coffee,” and the billion-streaming, U.S. Gold Certified “the perfect pair” and “Glue Song,” her work has earned widespread critical acclaim for its emotional depth and genre-spanning style. With more than 5 billion streams and a rapidly growing global fanbase, Beabadoobee has released a series of lauded projects that chart her evolution from lo-fi beginnings to bold, full-bodied pop and rock anthems. Beabadoobee released a new single, "All I Did Was Dream of You," featuring The Marías last week.

According to UMPG UK Managing Director & Global Head of A&R David Gray, “Beabadoobee is one of the most exciting and original voices in music today. Her ability to craft songs that feel both deeply personal and instantly universal has resonated with fans around the world. Signing Bea to UMPG was the result of a global team effort and reflects a shared belief across our company in her as a songwriter. We are thrilled to welcome her to the UMPG family and support her as she continues to reach new creative heights and connect with audiences worldwide.”

Beabadoobee’s manager, Chris Melian of Banner Yeer Supply House added, “"We’re excited to be signing with team UMPG and beginning a new chapter with an amazing group of people that bring energy, vision and passion for Beabadoobee’s music. From our very first conversations, it felt like the right fit. We’re grateful for what’s ahead and the music we’ll be working on and releasing together.”

Beatrice “Beabadoobee” Laus first gained attention with a series of EPs on independent label Dirty Hit. These laid the groundwork for her raw, emotionally resonant sound, culminating in her 2020 full-length debut, Fake It Flowers, which reached No. 8 on the UK Albums Chart and was supported by a headline tour across the UK and Ireland.

In 2022, she released Beatopia, her critically praised second album that fused indie rock with dream pop and featured collaborations with PinkPantheress and members of The 1975. The album debuted at No. 4 in the UK and topped the UK Independent Albums Chart. That same year, she joined Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour as the main supporting artist for twelve U.S. shows and launched her own global headline tour.

Her most recent album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves (2024), was produced by the legendary Rick Rubin and recorded at his Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.  The album marked a new creative peak for Beabadoobee, and became her first chart-topping album in the U.K. when it debuted at #1 on the Top Albums chart. She followed its release with a major North American that included two sold-out shows at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and UK headline dates that included a sold-out performance at the Alexandria Palace in London.  Beabadoobe embarked on her The Space In Between Tour in 2025, which included an April performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. U.S. television appearances have included Jimmy Kimmel Live and two performances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
