Marks & Spencers' Christmas campaign for 2015 features two syncs from Universal Music Publishing Group writers.
The retail giant's advert - under the strapline 'The Art of Christmas' - shows the build up to Christmas through the eyes of an eight year old girl, and is bursting with oversized props, choreographed sequences and a sprinkling of festive nostalgia. Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars ‘Uptown Funk’, co-written by UMPG writer Philip Lawrence, provides the slick, swinging soundtrack to the campaign.
Whetting our appetites for a festive feast, M&S continue their 'Adventures in Food' series with 'Adventures in Christmas' – once again set to the distinctive strings of Clean Bandit’s number one single 'Rather Be', co-written by UMPG’s Jimmy Napes.
Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, Executive Director of Marketing & International at M&S said of the campaign; “We wanted to capture that feeling of anticipation and create an upbeat campaign that moves with the pace of the season and shows how M&S can help make each moment special”.
