Bruce Robertson is a bipolar, bigoted and corrupt policeman in line for a promotion which he desperately wants. Threatened by the aspirations of his colleagues, Bruce sets about ensuring their ruin: turning them against one another, stealing their wives and exposing their secrets. However as Bruce starts to lose himself in a web of deceit that he can no longer control, alcoholism and a debilitating drug habit arouse the suspicions of his peers and begin to affect his sanity.
‘Filth’ is adapted from the Irvine Welsh novel of the same name and stars James McAvoy, Imogen Poots, Joanne Froggatt, Jamie Bell, Eddie Marsan and Jim Broadbent.
