Two of the recent LOVEFiLM campaigns feature cover versions of Universal Music Publishing songs.
The first, 'Higher Love’ is performed by James Vincent McMorrow and written by Steve Winwood, the multi talented British musician and member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Go and Blind Faith. When Winwood released 'Higher Love' in 1986, it shot to the top of the Billboard 100, and earned him two Grammy awards. McMorrow's version of the track can be found on his most recent EP 'We Don't Eat'.
The second is Lily Frost's version of Irving Berlin's American songbook classic 'I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm'. Lily Frost's cover version appeared on her 2008 album 'Lily Swings'.
