Lulu Santos is one of the most prominent figures in Brazilian music, known as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer.
Interested in music from an early age, he began playing as a teenager and was part of bands such as Vímana before launching his solo career in the early 1980s. From then on, he became one of Brazil’s most successful artists, with numerous hits that helped define Brazilian pop and rock, including “Tempos Modernos,” “Como uma Onda,” and “Toda Forma de Amor.”
Over the course of his career, Lulu has established himself as a versatile artist, moving across styles while maintaining a strong presence in Brazil’s music scene. In addition to his work in music, he has also gained recognition as a coach on The Voice Brasil.
Widely acknowledged for his contributions, he has been featured on lists of the greatest Brazilian artists and guitar icons, reinforcing his legacy as one of the most influential names in contemporary Brazilian popular music. In 2024 received the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award to honor his five-decade career.
