Eddy
de Pretto

Bio
Eddy de Pretto first gained attention in 2017 with “Fête de trop”, blending minimalist rap with incisive lyrics on identity, masculinity, and personal experiences. Born in Paris in 1991 and raised in Créteil, he trained in theater, singing, and piano before attending the Institut supérieur des arts de la scène (ECM ISAS). He also appeared in short films and the feature Paulette (2013) while composing his first songs using music selections from his phone.
Discovered at festivals, he won the “Prix des Inouïs” at the Printemps de Bourges in 2017 and signed with Universal (Initial Artist Services). His debut album Cure (2018) was certified triple platinum, followed by À Tous les Bâtards (2021, gold) and Crash Cœur (2023), which marked a shift toward R&B and included collaborations with artists like Juliette Armanet.
With bold songwriting and a unique blend of introspection and modern sounds, Eddy de Pretto is one of the most innovative and influential French artists of his generation.
