"What The World Needs Now Is Love” for Joker: Folie à Deux trailer

“What The World Needs Now Is Love” (with music and lyrics by UMPG writers Burt Bacharach and Hal David) soundtracks the trailer to the upcoming Warner Bros film Joker: Folie à Deux.

The warm and uplifting tones of the 1965 popular song provide a brilliantly effective contrast to the dark, manic mood of the trailer.

Joker: Folie à Deux stars Joaquin Phoenix, reprising his role as Arthur Fleck, a failed clown and aspiring stand-up comedian, whose descent into madness leads him to become the ‘Joker’. It co-stars Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, a fellow asylum inmate who forms a dangerous romantic relationship with him.
