Tony Deng is a Gen-Z emerging independent musician, singer-songwriter, and guitarist known for blending diverse musical styles with delicate emotional expression. He began writing songs at the age of 12. His music spans indie rock, Britpop, jazz, and R&B, reflecting a distinctive artistic perspective and a mature songwriting approach.
He has achieved notable recognition in international songwriting competitions, receiving multiple awards in major global contests including the ISC (International Songwriting Competition), JLSC (John Lennon Songwriting Contest), IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards), and GASC (Global Acoustic Song Contest).
His single “It’s Raining”(2021) was selected as Monthly Best Single on NetEase Cloud Music’s Hard Rock Original Chart shortly after release. His single “HER”(2024) surpassed one million streams in its first month and entered the Rising Chart, New Songs Chart, and Appreciation Chart on both NetEase Cloud Music and QQ Music. Meanwhile, the single “Look in the Mirror” has accumulated over two million streams on QQ Music, reaching the Top 10 of the Rising Chart and Pop Index Chart, as well as appearing on the platform’s Hot Songs Chart.
In 2025, he released his second album "Overthinking" under UMG China.
