Peking Duk won two awards at last nights APRA Awards at Carriageworks in Sydney. The duo scooped the trophies for ‘Dance Work of the Year, as well as ‘Most Played Australian Work’ for their multi-platinum smash hit ‘Take Me Over’.
‘Take Me Over’ was also nominated in the ‘Best Dance Release’ and ‘Song of the Year’ at last years ARIA’s where the electro duo also took to the stage for an electrifying live performance of the award winning single.
There was further success for UMPG artists and writers at last night's awards. Lee Kernaghan and Colin Buchanan took home the ‘Country Work of the Year’ award for ‘Spirit of the ANZACs’ and 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars won ‘International Work of the Year’.
Among the stand out performances of the night were Gang of Youths and Montaigne’s performance of ‘Song of the Year’ winner Jarryd James’ ‘Do you Remember’ and Guy Sebastian giving CW Stoneking’s ‘The Zombie’ a spin of soul.
