PJ Harding (aka. THIEF) is an Australian songwriter, producer and artist.
THIEF’s debut EP ‘Closer’ achieved multiple Top 5 Hype Machine playlists and solid play on Radio 1, XFM, KEXP, KCRW & Triple J, leading to extensive touring at festivals such as SXSW & The Great Escape. In 2016 THIEF stepped away from the spotlight to focus on songwriting.
Over the last 2 years he has worked with world renowned writers and artists including Chromeo, Tobias Jesso Jr. (SIA, Adele), Sean Douglas (Andy Grammer, Dua Lipa), Mitch Allen (Jason Derulo, Kelly Clarkson), David Hodges (Evanescence), JHart (Justin Bieber, Keith Urban), Neil Ormandy (James Arthur) and Francois Tetaz (Gotye) amongst many others.
2017 has seen THIEF become one of Australia’s most sought after and versatile songwriters with co-writes such as; #1 Australian ARIA Chart & 2 x Platinum selling single for Jessica Mauboy ‘Fallin’; #2 Australian ARIA Chart & Platinum single for Bliss n Eso ‘Moments’ and Top 5 Hot 100 Chart for Guy Sebastian’s ‘Bloodstone’.
Alongside this 2017 saw THIEF writing The Voice winner Judah Kelly's winning single ‘Count on Me’ while developing young artist Ruel, co-writing ‘Don't Tell Me’ as well as his breakout collaboration with M-Phazes, ‘Golden Years’. As a featured artist, THIEF racked up an ARIA top 40 single for ‘Dopamine’ with Bliss & Eso, alongside singles with Luke Million and Just A Gent.
Now signed to Universal Publishing, THIEF has a stack of releases lined up for 2018 including Chromeo, Ruel, M-Phazes and more, and plans to release some of his own music later in 2018.
